Early life and education

Iglesias was born on April 8 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When she was 20 years old, she moved to Los Angeles in hopes of making a career for herself after working for three years at Energizer. Marcela acquired a degree in Broadcasting, specializing in radio and journalism in Argentina.

Iglesias started her career when she was 20 years old when she immigrated to the United States in 2000. For over a decade, Iglesias lived as an undocumented immigrant and did several odd jobs to make ends meet and support her family.[6]

She began investing in real estate with the money she had saved over the years. In 2007, Iglesias founded Beyond Tan, a mobile spray tanning venture that gained much traction. After serving for over six years with this venture, Iglesias started Plastics of Hollywood, a renowned talent management company and lifestyle brand. Since its foundation, Iglesias has been a firm advocate for people living a plastic life including herself, and is often seen supporting and promoting them on social media channels as well as industry events.

In 2018, Iglesias founded EdgeCrossx with her husband Steven Berman, a fitness equipment company known to help people attain their fitness goals and train their bodies to become their best selves.[7]

Iglesias is married and has a son from a previous marriage, Rodrigo Iglesias, and two stepchildren, Ryan Cody and Kyle Berman. She is also an animal activist and mother to three potbelly pigs named Chuy, Bella, and Stella, and two dogs named Pugsy and Lucy.
