Blackensys was founded in February 2024 in Bhubaneswar by Chandar Sekhar Hembram and Saurav Barjo. Their vision is to contribute to a digital India.[3]

Chandar Sekhar Hembram
- Education: Completed schooling from Seventh-day Adventist Higher Secondary School and graduated from the College of Basic Science and Humanities.
- Background: After graduation, he focused on learning how to start a worldwide business.
Saurav Barjo
- Education: Completed schooling from Seventh-day Adventist Higher Secondary School. Initially studied at the College of Basic Science and Humanities and then moved to Imphal to pursue his interest in fisheries at ICAR (College of Fisheries), where he is currently completing his graduation.
- Background: Before moving to Imphal, he spent a year at the College of Basic Science and Humanities.

History of the Company
2020 - 2024
- Founders Chandar Sekhar Hembram and Saurav Barjo took four years to decide on the name "Blackensys." "Black" symbolizes a universal color, and "Ensis," derived from Latin, means "pertaining to" or "originating in."
2020 - 2023
- Prior to Blackensys, the founders started a digital marketing service called Sek Marketing, with their first lead from Tiriyo Media Private Limited for music distribution. Despite initial success, this business was closed.
- They then started a YouTube channel called Frozen Robo, which grew to 30K subscribers, earning them 60K to 80K before it was banned.
- Subsequently, they launched a sole proprietorship called Chandar Sekhar, providing import and export services, which also shut down due to insufficient funds.
- Despite multiple setbacks, they founded Blackensys, registering it as a Private Limited company and are set to launch their AI cloud storage service on June 17, 2024, across all platforms including iOS, Android, and web.
Current Phase
Blackensys is currently in the startup phase, aiming to establish its presence in the Indian and Western markets, competing primarily with Google Drive and Dropbox.
