Sithesh C. Govind was born in Kerala, India, and later moved to Karnataka. Film and Cinematic Contributions

Sithesh C. Govind made his directorial debut in Kannada cinema with the film Idu Entha Lokavayya, which was nominated for Best Film at the 13th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) in 2022. Released on August 9, 2024, the film received both critical and commercial success. The film's exceptional screenplay and distinctive style resonated with Kannada audiences, earning widespread acclaim for its creativity and originality, showcasing Sithesh's outstanding storytelling abilities and cinematic vision.[3]

In 2017, Sithesh C. Govind served as one of the creative minds and asso. director for the critically acclaimed Kannada slapstick comedy Ondu Motteya Kathe. His contributions to the film further solidified his reputation for versatility and creativity in the Kannada film industry.

In 2023, Sithesh wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues for the Kannada film Dvamdva, where he also served as the technical director. The film was selected for screening at the 15th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) and was nominated for several awards, including at the Kashish Pride Film Festival. Sithesh C.Govind also won the International Award for Poster Design for the same festival, making him one of the few to achieve recognition in both film and design.

Sithesh has also ventured into film production, under his production house ‘Sithesh C Govind Cinemas ‘ he produced the Kodava movie Paarane.[4]

His most notable contribution to literature is his debut book ‘A Nutty Affair’, where he introduced an innovative genre called "Screenella." This new form of writing, a fusion of screenplay and novella, brings a cinematic experience to readers, blending vivid dialogue and narrative with the flow of a movie script with song lyrics, camera positions and angles. This groundbreaking genre has been widely praised for its creativity and originality.
